Wendy brings more than 20 years of international mining industry experience spanning exploration, project development, operations, and applied geometallurgy. As Practice Lead for Geometallurgy at Datarock, she works with teams to design integrated, decision-focused workflows that link rock characterisation to value across the mining value chain.
Her career has been shaped by systems thinking and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Wendy has led and supported multidisciplinary teams across multiple commodities and jurisdictions, working at the interface of geology, metallurgy, data, and business. She is particularly passionate about helping organisations move beyond siloed technical excellence toward connected, practical solutions that actually stick.
For Wendy, mentoring is fundamentally about co-learning. She has formally and informally mentored people across continents, career stages, and disciplines, and sees mentoring as essential to the long-term health of the industry. “We grow by learning from the past, embracing what is changing, and investing in the people who will shape what comes next.” While technical capability matters, Wendy believes it is only part of the equation. Her mentoring style places strong emphasis on communication, context, and connection; helping people link ideas, navigate complexity, and develop the soft skills that turn good thinking into embedded practice. She enjoys supporting mentees to find clarity, confidence, and their own voice as professionals, while continuing to learn alongside them.
