Dr Paul Polito brings more than 30 years of mineral exploration experience across a diverse range of commodities, geological settings, and jurisdictions. His deep technical expertise in economic geology, exploration geochemistry, deposit models and the application of innovative exploration methodologies will significantly enhance CCRF’s training and mentoring programs.
As a member of the Centre’s Mentoring and Professional Development Committee, Paul contributes hands-on guidance to HDR students and early-career researchers, supporting their development in exploration strategy, field practice, data interpretation, and critical decision-making. His experience leading multidisciplinary and multicultural exploration teams allows him to provide training in leadership, safety culture, risk management and navigating complex operational environments.
Paul’s track record in challenging conventional models and applying specialist thinking toward discovery aligns strongly with the Centre’s emphasis on scientific excellence, innovation and the development of researchers who are able to think beyond established frameworks.
