Justin Drummond is a Senior Geochemist at IGO Ltd, based in Perth, Western Australia, with over 5 years of experience in mineral systems, geochemistry, and exploration. Justin’s current role leads quality control and assurance protocols for geochemical sampling across multiple exploration projects and mining operations. He also manages laboratory contracts and analytical method development and contributes to cutting-edge research on nickel, copper, lithium, and rare earth elements (REE) mineral systems. Previously, he was a Project Geochemist responsible for developing geochemical workflows, integrating geophysical and geochemical data, and refining exploration methods across IGO’s regional projects. Justin has deep expertise in lithogeochemistry, regolith mapping, and the development of new analytical techniques to support mineral exploration and has been instrumental in producing prospectivity maps and enhancing IGO’s geochemical capabilities. His work has significantly contributed to the identification of exploration targets, mineral system parameterization, and supporting the growth of IGO’s critical minerals portfolio.
