Collins Adoko is pursuing a PhD at the University of Queensland under the supervision of Assoc Professor Anita Parbhakar-Fox. His research focuses on developing innovative methodologies for modelling the spatial distribution of critical minerals in mine waste. By advancing spatial modelling techniques and addressing challenges in resource estimation, his work aims to improve the management and extraction of critical minerals, supporting more sustainable and efficient resource utilisation in Australia’s mining industry.
Collins brings research experience from his time as a Graduate Student Researcher at Nazarbayev University’s School of Mining and Geosciences, where he specialised in geostatistical modelling, geometallurgy, and resource estimation. He also has professional experience as a Graduate Geologist at Adamus Resources Limited in Ghana, where he contributed to grade control drilling, geological mapping, and QA/QC analysis for resource modelling.
Collins holds a strong passion for data-driven geoscience and mine waste valorisation. Prior to his postgraduate studies, he served as a Mathematics Tutor at St. Augustine’s Senior High School, fostering student understanding of mathematical concepts. Through his academic and professional journey, Collins is committed to driving innovation and sustainability in the mining sector.
